A little history
International Health Day is not a new holiday. It was first celebrated in 1950, and the date was dedicated to the day of the official creation of WHO, a specialized agency of the United Nations designed to address health issues at the international level.
The World Health Organization began its functioning on April 7, 1948, when the WHO Constitution was adopted. Today, the organization includes 194 countries from different parts of the globe. During regular meetings, the most important issues related to providing all inhabitants of our planet with accessible medical care, combating epidemics, monitoring health conditions and the influence of various factors on it - from the deteriorating environment to economic problems - are resolved.
World Health Day is an important holiday created to draw attention to such necessary issues as:
- promotion of healthy lifestyles;
- solving health problems in remote corners of the planet;
- preventing the spread of dangerous diseases;
- drawing attention to current problems and finding ways to solve them.

Health day at the camp
The Health Day program includes activities designed for the participation of all camp children, as well as events for individual groups (depending on age groups).
We offer sample activities that can be included in the holiday program:
- game exercise-joke (competition for children 8-10 years old),
- Operation “Congratulations” - greeting medical workers on the line,
- radio concert upon request, special issue of a newspaper,
- breakfast “Eat for your health!” — dishes are advertised and served by waiters dressed as vegetables,
- neatness relay - a competition for the best style of making beds,
- radio program “Syringe” - a satirical release about daily routine violators (dirty people, smokers, etc.),
- for older squads, a conversation with a doctor on the topic “How to be friends with the sun, so as not to harm yourself,” for younger squads - “Meeting with Doctor Nekhvoraika.”
Charging competition

A healthy lifestyle today is a whole philosophy that helps maintain health and good spirits for many years. Among the main components of a healthy lifestyle, doctors and scientists highlight the following points:

- compliance with personal hygiene requirements;
